In 1985 Mr. Joachim Born set up the civil law association "Joachim Born, Unternehmensberatung" after having gained ten years of EDP experience in different fields. In the ensuing years he attended to customers from the following business sectors with regard to different subject areas:

  • Banks & insurance companies
  • Metal-processing industry
  • Manufacturers of office supplies
  • Haulage companies
  • Recycling and waste-disposal companies
  • Retailers of software houses
In January 1993, "UBB GmbH, Unternehmensberatung Born" with a joint stock of DEM 50,000 emerged from the civil law association. However, the fields of activity remained the same:

  • Hard- and software-neutral consulting
  • Organisational studies
  • System analyses
  • Organisational programming
  • Organisation of computer centres and automation
  • Migration of mainframe computers / midrange systems
  • Customised training
From 1997 on the company’s expertise was extended to the field of SAP consulting; since then we have focussed on the following areas:

  • Plant maintenance (Module PM)
  • Customer service (Module CS)
  • SAP-Projectleading
The personnel pool was developed adequately:

  • We have two permanent employees.
  • At present, we can fall back on a pool of 25 free-lancers who are all known to us from joint projects.
